Last spring, my youngest son, Jacob came home bringing with him sturdy bags filled with professional audio equipment:  a folding-table-microphone with a swinging arm and recording gear with all sorts of dials and numbers on them – my eyes glaze over just thinking about it...  After lugging the bags upstairs, we spent hours turning my walk-in closet into a make-shift recording studio.  To muffle outside noises, we hung old quilts on the walls and over the window. We covered the full-length mirror with a piece of egg-crate-foam as my clothes, that hung on one side of the closet provided an extra layer of absorption.

         Although this type of electronic equipment is unfamiliar to me, as a Senior Director for the Live-Action component for LinkedIn-Learning, Jacob is a seasoned veteran in the world of recording and filming.  Not only is he well-experienced with recording gear, he is a master at helping professionals feel at ease in the taping studio.  He has a unique combination of talents – artistic, technical combined with sensitive, emotional intelligence.  That’s why he was my automatic first choice in selecting someone to help me record the audio version of my newly released book, Rupture in the Canvas:  The hidden doorway to your Soul’s Evolution.   I knew he was the perfect person to teach me how to use the equipment, but also how to put me at ease through the recording process and to build up my confidence whenever I began to feel insecure - which ranged from mild anxiety to dreaded self-doubt to outright panic... (So, do ya'll ever hear that voice in your head that screams, "What the f#%#k are you DOING?!!!")... I could not be more grateful for all the roles Jacob played into bringing the recording to life.  That collaborative effort was an unexpected gift coming at the end of many years of a challenging, yet expanding creative process.

         So, drum-roll please, I am now happy to announce that the audio version of Rupture in the Canvas is now available on Amazon, as well as Barnes and Noble. 

Now I can finally exhale…
